Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team (SSART) are a mobile resource that deploys throughout Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. To assist with our callouts the team utilises a range of vehicles to provide command and control, welfare, and support to our members. For this role you must be able to work independently or as a team to collect and rendezvous at a given geographic point.

As a Volunteer Search Dog “Dogs Body” for the team and associated organisations, you will be invited to specific events to ‘hide’ for the purpose of training search dogs and dog handlers. This is a vital role to the team and allows our search dogs (and humans!) to practice finding people in a range of different scenarios. This is a non-uniformed role and requires ad hoc attendance at different training locations around Staffordshire

We are seeking individuals to be champions for Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team. We are Staffordshire’s only search and rescue team and comprise 100% professionally-trained volunteers. The team is funded by public donations.
